Functional Movements System

Now I am not certified in the Functional Movements System (FMS) yet, but in the past few months I have been doing some FMS drills. Face the wall squats, rolling patterns, over head squats, just to name a few. And I myself have seen a HUGE change in the way I move. My training has gone better, I'm pain free, and feel that my body is moving together.

Let me start by saying, If you play a sport or participate in something that requires you to be active, GET AN FMS SCREEN DONE!! You most likely need it. Wheather you're a High School football player, field hockey player, a pro golfer, wrestler, soocer player, or even a stay at home mom, you need to find your bodies inbalances. Reason?, you may be "FIT" but what good is that if you "Move" like crap? Meaning your total body mobility. Can your left side move the same as your right? Can you lock your arms out over head (elbows locked)? Can you use your body in the way it was meant to move?

Now, a memeber of my family plays High School football. We all now that its REQUIRED to train with the team. But who's training them? He ended up hurting himself during his "training" now may have to get surgery on his shoulder. Sucks! Why are kids getting hurt in school? I thought they were supposed to be "Healthier" than adults?
